The Ramayana is a vast and detailed epic, and it would be difficult to provide the full story in a single response. However, I can provide a brief overview of the main events in the epic:

1. King Dasharatha of Ayodhya has three queens and four sons, Rama being the eldest. The king decides to crown Rama as the next king, but his youngest queen, Kaikeyi, insists that her own son Bharata should be king instead. Dasharatha, being bound by a promise he made to Kaikeyi, agrees and orders Rama to go into exile for 14 years.

2. Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana, go into exile and eventually end up in the forest of Dandaka. There, Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka.

3. Rama, along with the help of Hanuman and an army of monkeys, sets out to rescue Sita. Hanuman travels to Lanka, finds Sita and assures her that Rama is coming to rescue her. Hanuman also destroys the city of Lanka and kills many demons.

4. Rama, with the help of Hanuman and the monkey army, finally reaches Lanka and engages in a great battle with Ravana and his demons. After a long and grueling battle, Rama is ultimately able to rescue Sita and kill Ravana.

5. Rama returns to Ayodhya as the king, where he is celebrated and honored by the people. However, due to rumors about Sita's chastity during her captivity, Rama banishes Sita to the forest. Sita gives birth to Rama's twin sons, Lava and Kusha.

6. Years later, Sita returns and proves her chastity by undergoing an ordeal by fire, and Rama, finally believing in her purity, welcomes her back to Ayodhya.
7. Rama rules Ayodhya justly and brings the golden age to the kingdom .

The Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic and it is not only a story but also has a deep moral and ethical values, which teaches about the duty, devotion, courage, compassion, love and many other aspects of human life.
